I like this article by James Brook which gives 8 pointers for maintaining a feeling of confidence whatever the situation. The one I particularly like is #6 about taking advantage of opportunities. Twice during my career I have taken opportunities that arose when I was facing some personal challenges. I took the risk because I felt I would regret it if I didn't and both paid off. The quote from Edmund Hillary is powerful too. |
