Make 2012 your best year yet

"It is important that you get clear for yourself that your only access to impacting life is action.  The world does not care what you intend, how committed you are, how you feel or what you think, and certainly it has no interest in what you want and don't want.  Take a look at life as it is lived and see for yourself that the world only moves for you when you act."  ~ Werner Erhard, author

"What is self discipline?  It is the rejection of instant gratification in favour of something better.  It is the giving up of instant pleasure and satisfaction for a higher and better goal." ~ Remez Sasson, writer and teacher

"The first step to getting the things you want out of life is this: decide what you want." ~ Ben Stein, actor and writer

So what does 2012 have in store for you?

For me it's a big year - my next birthday has a 0 in it, and my eldest daughter gets married.  I also have exciting work plans and changes I want to implement.  Those are the things I can plan for... the rest will unfold as the year progresses.

What's driving the changes you want to make?  Possibility or pain avoidance?

There are some great resources around to support you to make the changes you want to make in your life.

This one covers working smarter, creating stars and living life more fully.

If getting more satisfaction from your work is a priority, then this four week e-course from Michael Bungay Stanier, one of my favourite writers, could be just what you are looking for.  Or you can sign up for Michael's free 7 week Great Work Kickstarter programme here.

Maybe work life balance is an issue for you.  If so, and especially if you have a young family, investing 10 minutes of your time in watching this video will be worthwhile.

And if you are in a leadership role, discover which areas to focus on in 2012 and THE leadership quality that will make or break you.

Whatever the changes you want to make in your life in 2012 - to your work, your relationships, your fulfilment, your health and fitness - taking action is the only way to achieve them.  And having support to keep you on track makes a significant difference.  Finding a buddy with whom to share your goals is a good way forward.

Working with a coach helps too.

It raises your level of commitment, your awareness and understanding of why what you want is important to you - in a deeper way - and keeps you on track and accountable.

I currently have two spaces for coaching clients available for 3, 6 or 12 months.

If you'd like to discover whether coaching is for you and to kickstart those changes you've been meaning to make, please give me a call on +44 1763 245323.

Get started on making those changes now!
